The Fermatic group, founded in Yvelines (Paris region) in 2006 by its current President, Laurent Dehan, has in the space of a few years become one of France's leading independent specialists in the installation and maintenance of automatic doors. Fermatic primarily targets building management companies, social landlords and industrial and tertiary-sector companies.

The Group has managed to combine organic growth with targeted external growth to become a leading player in the north-west quarter of France, with 5 acquisitions completed with the support of Initiative & Finance : a production workshop in Paris area and competitors in Rouen, Le Havre and Nantes.

The Group, which more than doubled its revenue and workforce over the investment period, was sold in october 2021 to Dormakaba which wanted to strenghten its activity in France. With a turnover of 2.5 billion euros, the German-Swiss group Dormakaba is one of the world's leading players in access control.
