EXTRUFLEX

Extruflex (revenue €25 million) is an international industrial company producing flexible polymers and transforming them into strips and panels. The possible final applications are vast and the company offers around 700 different products to 1,400 customers worldwide. Extruflex operates on a human scale, but is a global leader on its market (except in China) and entirely export-oriented (with 90% of its revenue coming from exports to 70 different countries through 7 subsidiaries and 3 production centers). Then-CEO Patrick Chambriard, having structured a fund to transform the company, wanted to position himself as the successor to the retiring former CEO as part of an MBO. Initiative & Finance was chosen as his partner, due to its interest in and understanding of the industrial stakes involved in the transaction.
