BdH@initiative-finance.com 01 56 89 97 00Baudouin d’Hérouville joined Initiative & Finance in January 2020 to create the Midcap positioning under the name “Tomorrow”, a differentiated investment thesis he conceived and developed in the previous months. He previously spent 15 years at Ardian (formerly AXA Private Equity) where he co-founded and developed the “Expansion” business to carry out LBO and growth expansion operations in continental Europe (mainly France, Germany and Italy). He had previously joined the AXA group as Assignments Manager with Claude BÉBÉAR, Chairman of AXA Group Supervisory Board.
Previously, after a stint at Airbus in the production field, he managed several international aeronautical and naval programs for the French MoD. He began his career as a naval aviator in the French Navy, where he also held several positions of managerial responsibilities.
He is particularly familiar with the Aerospace, Maritime, Technology, Business Services and Industry sectors.
Baudouin holds a Master in engineering from the French Naval Academy and a Master of science from ISAE Supaero, a leading aerospace engineering Grande Ecole. He also holds a joint pre-Phd (DEA) in business Sciences (Paris X, HEC, ESSEC), a post-graduate business degree (DESIA) in finance and a 2-years university degree in law.
In 2019, he chaired a working group on behalf of the Messina Institute (Think-tank of Compagnie Nationale des Commissaires aux Comptes / Certified Accountants) related to Mid-size companies on the theme “Do SME CEOs sell too early and why?”.
Baudouin is a steering committee member of the sustainability board within France Invest Association. He is as well a member of the Montaigne Institute, Aspen Institute, Center for Strategic Studies and Prospective, a Kineis (nano-satellite constellation) Advisory Board member and a Spacefounders mentor (New Space startups), and is very committed to gender equality issues (cofounder in 2012 of ISAElles Social Network dedicated to enabling female/male parity in corporate environment, Level 20 mentor and French Committee member).
