Operating in a sector with strong regulatory barriers to entry, the Slat group was able to orchestrate its exit from American group 3M, consolidate its position in France, and open its first export subsidiary in Germany, while maintaining a strong R&D focus, vital if it is to maintain its technical lead. An MBO² deal was structured in 2014.
